read a book and found some meaningful phrase and sentences that helpful in anger management....
[Addicted to Stress, Debbie Mandel]
- NO ONE UPSETS YOU BUT YOU!
When you hold on to anger and cant forgive, you diminish your capacity of joy.You hurt yourself. It's often ourselves whom we cant forgive.
Vent out your frustration on someone, eventually you will angry at yourself for losing it.
When you feel depressed, you dont feel compassion for yourself. On the contrary, you feel guilty for feeling sad, berating yourself for bringing everyone else down around you.
Understand what someone else is feeling while you maintain your own separate emotions. Bring out the best in others. This neutralizes the tension. When you understand the needs of another, you lose your anger and regain a vital connection.
- FORGIVING the UNFORGIVABLE
Doing it better like a Buddhist.Learning how to put a positive spin on human foibles, those little indiscretions or thoughtless acts that were not meant to harm is relatively easy when you are aware and do not get lost in the confusion of anger.
Of course, It's much easier to forgive others when they profusely apologize and renounce their transgressions, vowing to make amends. However, even if people dont own up or apologize, you can still let go if you reframe even the worst of transgresions.
If you choose to forgive the transgressor, you are able to let things go in order to be at peace.
CALMING DOWN
Take ten deep breaths, inhaling two counts and exhaling four counts through the nose to oxygenate your brain and slow down your pulse so that you can think more clearly.
If at all possible, remove yourself for a short while and walk it off.
Instead of dwelling on who is wrong and what was done to you, you can redirect your thoughts to "How can I let this go? I have better things to think about."
